Description

A rough piece of corundum with surface altered to mica. No distinct crystal shape, but quite heavy (typical for corundum). Comes with on-glued "Mus M&M" sticker. This is the label of notorious Charles Ottley Groom-Napier (1839-1894) alias "Prince of Mantua and Montferrat" ("Mus. M&M"). See his interesting biography on minrecs biographical archive.

As usual with Groom-Napier specimens, the given locality is not very exact and there's some risk that it is not correct.
