Description

This is a more rare specimen from the uncommon Precambrian Mississippi Valley-type massive lead zinc sulfide deposit, hosted in carbonate rock, that was subsequently reworked. Acquired 15th of October 1997 from Gunnar Färber by the former owner Walter Kessler. A large smoky in the center, matrix covered with tiny dolomite crystals, several honey colored calcites scattered all over, dolomite crystals partly powdered with micro crystals of pyrite and sphalerite inter-grown to matrix - really a remarkable and rare combination - and even very impressive in dimension and with aesthetic assemble!
