Fluorite With Calcite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Trough Vein, Stanhope, Weardale, County Durham, United Kingdom
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
3.8 × 2.5 × 2.5 cm
Description

This is a lovely little specimen from a rarely offered British locality. Sharp yellow/green fluorite crystals up to 1.0 cm on an edge along with small clusters of snow white calcite that adds greatly to its appeal.  I have seen very few examples from Trough Vein of Lanehead Quarry in recent times and this is of above average standard.
