Description

Four small polychrome crystals of tourmaline from the Sahatany Valley. They range from 13 to 16mm in length and 3 to 5 in diameter. They are complete and undamaged. 

-One is transparent, slightly blue to grey coloured with a fuchsia top. At the central area is was broken and naturally rehealled, that curves it a little bit.

-A second crystal is gemmy, light pink with an impressive black thin layer top, and green layer at the base.

-The third crystal is green, gemmy, with complex striated prim faces.

-The fourth one is intense fuchsia coloured, cloudy but lustrous, with steep top faces.

These belonged to the collection of French Geologist Georges Heurtebize, that was working in Madagascar in the 1960’s and was so impress by the country that Madagascar became his permanent land of residence.
