Description

Plagionite is an uncommon lead, antimony sulfosalt and this rich, old-time specimen is from the famous Type Locality - the Graf Jost-Christian Mine, Harz Mts., Germany. This ancient antimony mine was opened around 1700. The lustrous, striated, tabular, metallic-gray Plagionite is present as flat-lying crystals that range from 1-3 mm perched in some vugs of this rare specimen. Such pieces are exceeding rare and consequently sought. Another pre-christmas specimen.
