Description

The specimen consists of a deposit of rhodochrosite which has a good lustre and pink colour in association with caryopilite. The rhodochrosite have formed small botryoids which are made up of small rhombic crystals which have grouped together. Between the botryoids of rhodochrosite are deposits of brown caryopilite, an uncommon association. There are also remnants of baryte on one part of the display face. The rhodochrosite is fluorescent under long wave uv light.
