Description

Choice thumbnail of cubic acanthite nicely perched on a speck of rock finely composed of myriads of chalcopyrite crystals. Acanthite is made of dark metallic textbook cubes, very sharp and with good lustre.

An outstanding specimen, in my collection since over 15 years. Uncommon in such good quality!

The specimen has been mounted on an acrylic plinth and it does display in the most elegant manner that way, however it can be freed with a minimal amount of alcohol or acetone, perhaps to be mounted in a Perky box.
