Description

Rich miniature consisting of a full drusy hosting over two dozens of hexagonal gmelinite crystals. Cream-orange color and good lustre for the specie, with some transparent sectors. Textbook shape, the core crystals are in an excellent conditions. Together, some glassy analcime crystals provide some additional aesthetic to the specimen.

Gmelinite is a rare zeolite, and even rarer in Italy. Contrada Bagattei is one of the top localities for the specie in the country, and this is one of the richest I have handled from the locality.
