Description

A gem quality diamond crystals comprising a series of intergrown octahedra measuring 1 cm across on kimberlite from the Mir Pipe (Myr Pipe). Mir was the first and one of the largest diamond pipes worked in Russia, operations at this deposit ceased in 2004.

This specimen has been checked extensively to confirm it is natural and not manufactured, including microscopic examination and soaking in a number of solvents
