Description

Parallel-growths of bicoloured azurite crystals with very intense lustre, on a malachite matrix. The general condition is very good with just minor erosions at the sides.

The katanga region is well-known for huge copper reserves, found as malachite mainly. However, azurite is quite uncommon in Katanga and good crystals can be found just in a handfull localities, been the Kimbwe Mine the best of them.

Found in 2015.
