Description

A good size piece of clay stone with fossilized leaves of Pecopteris (Daneites), Early Permian, that surpass 30 mm in length, and are the positive cast of the leaves. Other types of fossilized fern leaves are also perfectly preserved in other areas. It was collected in 1984 by Bernard Gradel who was working as geologist in the quality control laboratory of the mines. He said that it comes from the shaft n°7, located at Avion.
