Description

Prismatic crystal of cordierite replaced by a mix of clay minerals (type illite) known as “pinite”, on a pink porphyry matrix. Perfectly flat terminated and free of damages. It is from the classic French locality at the Puy-de-Dôme (Auvergne). 

Acquired in 2/12/1990. Ex Gustaaf collection #564, with his handwritten label.
