Description

Very interesting and complex cluster of modified cubic octahedral pyrite crystals from La Alcoraya. It is a floater specimen of very bright pyrite, very rare even in Spanish dedicated collections. These crystals are found in a matrix of grey limestones of Keuper age, near the contact zone with subvolcanic ophites.

Collected in 2004 by Calixto Mesa.
