Description

Super rare specimen of yellow cancrinite with blue sodalite from the carbonatites located in the area of Upper Ruvubu river. Specifically this is from the feldspathoidal syenite of the Inner Unit. Rest of a small black hematite crystal is also present. The sample was collected in the 1960’s by Professor A. Delvaux (1919-1998). A complete information of his locality can be found in, i.e.: Decree, et al., (2019).
