Description

Balangeroite is a rare fibrous magnesium iron manganese silicate. The finest examples came from Poggio San Vittore Mine an open pit asbestos mine which is abandoned since 1990. This impressive piece from the Type Locality is composed of brown fibers on top of a serpentine matrix. The base is formated by a saw cut.
