Description

Rediscovery of a historic find of gold crystals in France. During road construction work in 1875, quartz was found near Hennebont, Morbihan, France, which was particularly heavy. Further investigations showed that gold was hidden in the quartz. The gold was privately owned until a few years ago and has only been on the market for a few years. The quantity is very limited and it is difficult to get pieces with formed crystal faces.
Here is such a 0.21g piece with several well-formed crystal faces.
