ex Hans Walling, 1966
Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Dreislar, North Rhine - Westphalia, Germany
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.1 × 4.5 × 3.6 cm
Description

Dreislar is famous for barite and associated chalcopyrite as well as strontianite - but not for pyrite. Therefore this specimen is a very good example of this common mineral as a locality specimen. The pyrite crystal is complex, lustrous and settles on a matrix of sheet like tan coloured baryte crystals. 1966 Walling specimen, comes with his card.
