Please note that this is from very old finds, don´t confound it with new material from Quanzhou, Anxi Co., Quanzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province, China. This stuff came on the market about 2 years ago and it looks similar - both discoveries produce intense purple stepped, modified crystals. But material from Dongposhan - like my piece - was discovered about 15 years ago and it is always associated with Calcite, the recent material from Quanzhou never show the combination with Calcite. And both are completely different localities - Dongposhan is in Hunan, Quanzhou is an other province: in Fujian. So now more about the specimen: the crystals show exceptional luster on really each crystal and each face. The crystals are all sharp terminated with modifications of rhomb along all edges. Their color is an incredible strong, dark purple. Several sharp, glossy Calcite scalenohedrons are also present; in combination with the snowy white matrix this is really a superb combination to the Fluorite crystals.  The specimen is really in excellent condition damage-wise, all crystals are complete, no contacts or damages. At last I have to note, that it is more or less impossible to capture this internal glowing color, neither luster and tri-dimensional assemble. The photo only gives you an idea of the true quality and the piece is much better in person
