Description

This is an exceptionally rich, rarer, large example of the lead/silver/antimony sulfide Fizelyite. These came out in the early to mid-1900s (and some even earlier) and are often confused with semseyite - although this is much rarer and has obvious differences to the eye, in person. This plate is LOADED with the stuff! The sprays of fizelyite are covered with plumosite powder and associated with highly lustrous galena, which appears as silvery band. Should be high ranked for rarity and please note that this is not just a sample - this is really crazy good for the mineral! Further information: the exact locality is the Principal shaft. The former owner acquired the specimen in 1999 from the famous Austrian collector  and author Rene Triebel.
