Description

A very fine specimen of anatase from this well known locality: A 1.5 cm grey coloured, well striated anatase crystal is set on a lawn of adularia crystals. The whole is set on a light grey phyllitic slate. There is a second smaller anatase crystal on the backside of the specimen and another steal grey ore mineral that I could not identify so far (maybe hematite?).

This is one of the earliest specimens that came out of this locality. I bought it in 1987 and it was labeled with „Valdres“ as locality. This erroneously labelling was done to keep the true locality secret in the beginning.
