Description

Two intergrown crystals of microcline var amazonite showing cream to turquoise color, latter most intensive on the termination faces. Small clear topaz crystals up to 3 mm are scattered over two of the prism faces.

Fine and classic material from a not so common locality for amazonite, the Klein Spitzkopje granite stock, Spitzkopje Area, Karibib, Erongo Region, Namibia. I acquired it during a field trip in 2004.
