6.7 × 5 × 3 cm
Description

This significantly sized specimen features a rarely seen paragenesis of numerous minerals, arsentsumebite replacement of mimetite, azurite and the replacement of azurite by malachite and rosasite. The presence of two green tones indicates a further unidentified presence within the matrix, one being more yellow than the other.

Indeed a fascinating combination in a complete 3-D stalactite like formation that is strikingly different on its two main faces- front and back divided by a distinct line of “ Easterpocket” lookalike malachite & rosasite replacements of azurite that run up along the crest of the specimen effectively separating the gemmy glass-blue azurite on one side from the all green arsentsumebite on the back. The front surface exhibits a couple hundred sharp azurite crystals and a dazzling sparkle generated by all their mirror like crystal faces against the green background.

Two distinct former mimetite crystals measuring up to 2cm lie to one side just off the middle thankfully partly uncovered by azurite revealing their robust forms nicely. The arsentsumebite exhibits an outstanding luster of its own consisting of clear micro crystalline mineralization.

This specimen is in an impressive condition with attachment contacts beneath and up one edge only.
