Mexquitic de Carmona Municipality, San Luis Potosi, Mexico
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7 × 5.5 × 2.3 cm
Largest Crystal:

Description

This is a rare specimen on the market, as only a single lot of these Mexican buergerites arrived at the Tucson show years back from a new find, and then the person who mined them died without ever revealing the location they came from – so that was likely all there will ever be. The abundant crystals, to 1.2 cm, are brown with an iridescent golden sheen characteistic of this tourmaline species
