Halite With Atacamite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Lubin Mine, Gmina Lubin, Lubin County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland
Class:
Single Crystal
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
12.1 × 2.1 × 2.1 cm
Description

Rare mint colored halite stalactite with atacamite. The crystals are interlaced, with a mint colored thread along the stalactite. The faces show a very lustrous square structure. The stalactite is bent in both directions. Because of the mint colored cover of the halite the specimen appears very cold. Very aesthetic floater-piece, no visible damage to report. Hard to catch in a photo and much better in person. The length of the specimen is very remarkable.
