Description

A rich covered specimen of this much sought after mineral. Intense turquoise- blue Liroconite veins and spots are placed all over the matrix.

Liroconite is a very rare secondary mineral found in the oxidation zone of copper deposits. The species was first discovered at Wheal Gorland in Cornwall in 1825.

Old specimen bought in July 1987.
