About

Cors de Bruin was a Dutch national and worker at Tsumeb who settled in Namibia in 1947. He worked as a constructor on the building of the Tsumeb smelter and latterly lived in Windhoek.

His collection was extensive with a large quantity coming from Tsumeb, but also a European/Worldwide suite gained through swapping exchanges (and some dealing) with other collectors and trips to shows in the 1970s.

All his specimens can be identifed by an attached label tag with an alphabetical (first letter of the mineral) and catalogue number, labels are not that frequently seen.

A large portion of the collection was sold to the Taylor family, and then on to TVM.
