Description

Crystalline Ferrian Variscite from a new discovery in Kedah, Malaysia, year 2024.

This is a really nice sample especially for anyone interested in macro photography.

Variscite is typically not crystalline and are usually Emerald green or sometimes blueish but never red. The occurrence of Ferrian Variscite is only really formed by the action of phosphatic solutions derived from guano and therefore this makes it a very rare specimen to get a hold of from any locality.
