Queitite belongs to the great rarities of the Tsumeb Mine. Here is a pale yellow crystal aggregate of great shape and colour with minor darkbrown melanotekite. This is an excellent queitite crystal aggregate. Great rarity and “Type-Material” regarding to the label.

Queitite is a type locality mineral in Tsumeb Mine and only known from a few localities worldwide.

Ex. Dr. KELLER (Stuttgart, Germany) from the year 1979.

Important note: The specimens are from the renowned collection of Dr. Gerhard JUNG (Hagendorf specialist, after whom the mineral Jungite was named). Dr. Jung was very meticulous regarding the provenance of his pieces. The previous owner is often noted - it is noticeable that Dr. Jung apparently had good contacts with the famous Tsumeb collectors Walter Richard KAHN (Warikahnite) and Wolfgang BARTELKE (Bartelkeite) from the early 1970s to the late 1980s. Many of the pieces originally came from the hands of the aforementioned pioneers. The specimens of the JUNG collection with first-class and documented provenience are presented here.
